K Camp Cancels Prairie View University Homecoming Performance After Students Expressed Disappointment + Releases #HomecomingFreestlye, Lucci Named As Replacement

K Camp has pulled out of performing at Prairie View University due to disrespect from its student body.

K Camp, 29, was scheduled to perform at the HBCU on Thursday evening to kickoff its homecoming weekend but opted not to after students complained about his upcoming appearance.
Co-eds took to social media to express their disappointment in having K Camp as their performing act, which the rapper caught wind of, and gracefully bowed out of the obligation.
“I got major love for my fans in Texas. but [sic] y’all know that lil money ain’t moving me. Respect come fist ya dig,” he tweeted to his 200 thousand plus followers.
But that’s not all.
The Milwaukee rapper also addressed the naysayers in a diss track titled Homecoming Freestyle.
On the one-minute track, K Camp raps: “I went from broke to fat pockets, look at me (What?)/ I f**k with Texas, give no f**ks ’bout PV.”
While the song was listened to over 130,000 times on Soundcloud, there were some Twitter users who mocked the rapper for releasing the record.

Rappers and higher education have been a trending topic within the month of October.

Georgetown University canceled a schedule performance by Fabolous last week, citing his history of domestic violence. Snoop Dogg stunned the University of Kansas when he performed alongside dancers twirling around stripper poles during “Late Night in the Phog.”

“We apologize for the Snoop Dogg performance at Late Night,” Kansas Jayhawks athletic director Jeff Long said in a statement. “We made it clear to the entertainers’ managers that we expected a clean version of the show and took additional steps to communicate to our fans, including moving the artist to the final act of the evening, to ensure that no basketball activities would be missed if anyone did not want to stay for his show.”

Lucci was taped as K Camp’s replacement.

Media But I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born and I will give you a complete account of the system, and expound the explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness.

No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful.
