A Facebook page aimed at exposing R. Kelly’s accusers was taken down for breaking community guidelines, says a spokesperson for the social media platform.
“The Page violated our Community Standards and has been removed,” the representative told TMZ. “We do not tolerate bullying or sharing other’s private contact information and take action on content that violates our policies as soon as we’re aware.”
The page titled “Surviving Lies” to discredit R. Kelly’s alleged abuse victims. Its first target was Faith Rodgers.
As previously reported, Faith claimed R. Kelly was violent and would hold her against her will when she failed to sexually satisfy him. She also alleged that Kelly infected her with herpes.
However, according to the defunct “Surviving Lies” FB page, Faith and Kelly’s relationship wasn’t as described. The page claimed R. Kelly did not order the 20-year-old to call him “daddy” but that she did so on her own volition. The page uploaded an alleged text exchange between Kelly and Faith, where she shows him photos of her outfits and continuously asks him to pick up her phone calls.
Alleged victim Asante McGee was up next to be shamed. The page posted a slew of McGee’s mugshots, presumably to prove that she cannot be trusted. A recorded conversation between McGee’s alleged daughter and another man points to McGee’s supposed dishonesty.
On the recording, the young girl is heard saying that McGee led a lavish lifestyle funded by Kelly. A lifestyle so abundant that McGee was allegedly able to pay other people’s bills.
The teenager goes on to say that McGee was rarely home and left her in charge of raising her younger siblings.
Kelly has reportedly threatened to take legal action against Lifetime for airing “Surviving R. Kelly.” In the docu-series, women detailed decades of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse at the hands of Kelly.
