The niece of Tamera Mowry-Housley and husband Adam has passed away in the Thousand Oaks bar massacre.
The Housleys confirmed Alania Housley’s death in a statement to USA Today.
“Our hearts are broken. We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night’s shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks,” the couple stated via their joint representative, Chantal Artur.
“Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner. We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time.”
Alania Housley, 19, was a Pepperdine University student — the alma mater of her aunt and uncle.

A total of 12 people were killed, including “hero” police sergeant Ron Helus, who was first to descend on the scene. Long was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
As news broke of the California mass shooting, the Housleys took to social media in search of Alania.
Responding to a tweet about a Twitter user’s missing suitemate, Mowry-Housley wrote: “This is her aunt Tamera Mowry Housley. Can you please DM me your information?”
The young woman shared that she was in contact with “Adam,” adding that the rest of their roommates were accounted for.
Adam asked for prayers, as did Tamera’s twin sister Tia.
